My Story
I’m Majella Zentveld — a registered BAS Agent, bookkeeper, trainer and mentor with over 25 years’ experience in the bookkeeping profession.
My career has been shaped by experience, resilience and a genuine passion for helping people build confidence — in their numbers, their business and themselves.
I began my journey in bookkeeping more than two decades ago, working across a wide range of businesses, industries and accounting systems. I’ve seen the profession evolve from manual records to cloud-based systems, automation and increasingly complex compliance obligations — and I’ve evolved alongside it.
Today, my work brings together three areas I’m passionate about: professional bookkeeping oversight and compliance, practical financial education, and mentoring.
Bookkeeping & BAS Agent Services
I believe good bookkeeping works best when businesses are proactive, involved and understand what is happening in their own financial records.
Rather than simply taking over the day-to-day processing, my focus is on helping businesses develop better bookkeeping practices, stronger systems and greater confidence in managing their financial information.
Depending on the needs of the business, I can provide training and guidance, review and oversee bookkeeping records, identify and query unusual or incorrect transactions, and manage the BAS and compliance work within my scope as a registered BAS Agent.
This creates a more collaborative way of working — where the business remains connected to its bookkeeping while having professional support and oversight when it matters.
The goal isn't simply to keep the books up to date.
It's to help businesses become more capable, more proactive and better informed about their numbers.
Finance Confidence for Business
That same philosophy sits behind Finance Confidence for Business.
I believe business owners should understand their finances — not feel intimidated by them.
Finance Confidence for Business provides practical training for business owners who want to better understand their bookkeeping, software, GST, BAS, cash flow, profit, expenses and everyday financial systems.
This includes my 6 Weeks to Finance Confidence course, along with practical one-on-one bookkeeping and software training when needed.
There’s no complicated accounting theory and no information overload. The focus is simple:

Because when you understand what you're doing, why you're doing it and how it impacts your business, you can make more confident decisions.
Beyond BAS Agent Registration
Becoming a registered BAS Agent was a defining chapter in my own career. It represented accountability, professional responsibility and the confidence to make sound decisions in the real world.
I also understand that achieving BAS Agent registration is only the beginning.
Newly registered BAS Agents can find themselves asking:
“I’m registered — what now?”
My post-licensing roadmap and Evolve – The Next Chapter were created for that next stage — supporting BAS Agents to strengthen their systems, professional judgement, boundaries and business foundations as they move from registration into confident, sustainable practice.
